Today was catch up
Today was catch up on sleep day. I find when I have a big day the next day I really need to catch up on my sleep. Feeling better now not so coldy
This is my one of my favourite photos of me when I was a kid I got to wear the landlady's daugther watch I felt so grown up and I was about 3 or 4 at the time. As you can see.
Tonight I had fun doing the gazette I do for the Red Hat chapters I belong to. Got both of them done and sent early. So I am feeling really good about it.

Our Wedding
This is me 38 years ago just before we picked up my girlfriend Janet who served as my Matron of Honour. The day was nice a bright and sunny and warm for late March. I wore a shift type dress that had lovely beading around the neck. It had a matching spring coat it was a damask. It was so pretty I wore a white straw hat and that had lovely velvet ribbons.
We had my sister Beth my brother Ian and mum and dad. Dad drove. We got married at Old City Hall
We had planned an informal reception but people kept wanting the reception line speeches and all that. So I relied on Kaye my new SIL here at the end of the table to coach us on what to do next.Tuesday, March 24, 2009
Here are a couple of our pets
Hamish trying to teeter totter. He was such a great doggie. Mum bought him for Dad for their Anniversary but I was in charge of feeding him. So I always thought of him as my dog. He died on Domion day the day before my 21st birthday. He was a fine pet but no champion except of hearts.
This is Biggie in all his glory as you can see. These guys were around for 1o years and were quite the handful.Monday, March 23, 2009
A New Start at blogging
I had a blog on 360 Yahoo and they shut it down so I have started a new one here. I am trying to scan most of the family pics to put on CD to give to each member of the family. It will be fun to sort everything out and have them all in one place. I just finished doing the above collage of my early years to act as a header for this blog. I tried a few years ago to start the project I am now doing. I guess it was too close to my mum and dad passing away.
This is me and Grandma Stirling at about a year.
I was born in England in a smallish city at the time Crowborough.
It was at the height of WW II and mum and I travel up to Scotland to stay with her in Edinburgh. Dad had just been shipped out to Sicily. He was a Remie. A mechanic fixing motorcycles and other motorized vehicles. Mum and dad met because mum had a leftover Christmas card and her friend said why don't you send it to my friend's friend Gord his mum just died and he is now an orphan. So she did and the rest is Our Story.
